Synopsis: This creature is for an upcoming animated horror film that will be rated R. The film is about a giant alien creature that attacks Oakland. The creature you see to the left is one of the larger creatures “pets”. Think “large alien pit-bull”. It attacks and eats people, gets into the BART stations/tunnels and tears things up, and likes to chew on the batteries in hybrid cars for fun. (For that reason they often forage in Berkeley for snacks.)

This is a sample work of a Creature Sound Design Assigment

• The sound of the creature running down an empty BART tube
• The sound of the creature running on asphalt.
• The sound of the creature breathing in and out. Think scary …the creature is sniffing for food and about to find you     and eat you. It should sound close. Very close.
• The sound of the creature “howling” as it sets out at night to     hunt.
• The sound of the creature jumping from a building onto a car.
• The sound of the creature being happy as it gets pet by the main evil creature. This should be only the sound the creature makes NOT the petting sound itself.
• The sound of the creature chewing on a hybrid car battery.
• The sound the creature makes when it is shot with a gun.
• The sound of the creature licking its chops.
In this project, we had to do Sound Design for a movie introduction,
we where able to pick a scene form the animation student demo reels. The idea was to manipulate sounds and create the right ambiance and tone for the scene. I chose this scene because it was very interesting to me the elements present in it. The basic idea of sound design is to create sounds that don't exist in nature, by manipulation and using synthesizer

The is an academic project and is not a real film

For this project, we had to pick a scene from a movie and do what is called "audio replacement", that is to replace all the audio including: music, sound effects, sound design and Foley and any other particular sound involved. I chose this movie for its exciting opening chase sequence which I think is brilliant, at the same time it is also very challenging; moreover because it was something totally different from my previous projects.

This is a sound design project I did with Cristobal Pellicer
It is a trailer for the video game Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars. This is another academic project. We also worked on the music, There is no music in this example in order to appreciate better the sound effects. In my scoring projects i have a version with music.

This is a Television spot for a Mexican health program
I did the music and the sound effects
